BREAD JAMOON

Ingredients:

6 bread slices
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp ground cardamom (Elaichi)
1/4 tsp kesar powder
1-2 cups oil1 cup water

Preparation of sugar syrup:

  • Add sugar to water and mix well.
  • Add cardamom and kesar powder.
  • Heat at medium heat for 10-15 minutes, until sugar is dissolver in water.
Method:
  • First prepare the sugar syrup and keep aside.
  • Cut the outer dark layer of all bread slices.
  • Cut each bread slices into four pieces.
  • Heat oil on medium for 5 minutes.
  • Fry bread pieces, one by one, until it's colour changes to golden brown.
  • Take the fried pieces from oil and add directly into the warm sugar syrup.
  • Leave the pieces in syrup atleast half an hour.
  • Transfer 2-3 pieces into a serving dish along with syrup and serve hot.
