Ingredients:
6 bread slices
1 cup sugar
1/4 tsp ground cardamom (Elaichi)
1/4 tsp kesar powder
1-2 cups oil1 cup water
Preparation of sugar syrup:
- Add sugar to water and mix well.
- Add cardamom and kesar powder.
- Heat at medium heat for 10-15 minutes, until sugar is dissolver in water.
- First prepare the sugar syrup and keep aside.
- Cut the outer dark layer of all bread slices.
- Cut each bread slices into four pieces.
- Heat oil on medium for 5 minutes.
- Fry bread pieces, one by one, until it's colour changes to golden brown.
- Take the fried pieces from oil and add directly into the warm sugar syrup.
- Leave the pieces in syrup atleast half an hour.
- Transfer 2-3 pieces into a serving dish along with syrup and serve hot.
