TOMATO SALAD

Ingredients:

4 tomatoes
1/2 cup coconut
1 onion
2 tablespoon oil
1/4 mustard seeds
Few curry leaves
1/2 tsp pepper powder
Few coriandar leaves
Salt to taste

Method:

  • Chop tomatoes and onion into small pieces.
  • Grate the coconut.Heat oil in a large saucepan.
  • Add mustard seeds, allow it to splutter.
  • Fry onion and curry leaves, until onion turn brown.
  • Add tomatoes and grated coconut and fry for 5 minutes.
  • Add pepper powder, coriandar leaves and salt and fry for 2 minutes.
  • Now it is ready to serve.

Alterations:

  • You can also prepare simple tomato salad.
  • Chop 2-3 tomatoes and 1 onion into very small pieces.
  • Mix both tomatoes and onion.
  • Add salt and pepper powder according to taste.
  • It is delicious to serve with ghee rice.
