ONION PAKODA

This dish is a really quick recipe to make, a great family snack when you don't have much time to cook in the kitchen.

Ingrdients:

List 1:
2 medium sized onions
2 cups oil

List 2:
1 cup gramflour
1 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp rice flour
pinch of baking soda
Salt to taste

Method:

  • Chop onions into very small pieces.
  • Mix all the ingrdients in list 2 in a bowl.
  • Add water and make a thin paste.
  • Add chopped onions into the paste and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a large saucepan.
  • With the help of a teaspoon, add the mixed onion paste into oil.
  • Fry, until it turns into light brown, for 3-4 minutes.
  • Now, take out from the oil and repeat step 6 for remaining mixture.
  • It is very tasty when served with tomato sauce.
